Choose an orange peel grapple for loose, mixed material such as scrap and demolition debris, a hydraulic steel or rock grab for heavy rock and steel, a rotating log grapple for timber, a crusher bucket to crush concrete and rock on site, and a pedestal boom to break oversize rock at a fixed point. The right attachment depends on the material, the job and the excavator that will carry it.
An orange peel grapple has several curved tines that close around loose, irregular material. It suits scrap handling, demolition debris, waste and mixed loads where a bucket would let material fall through.
Teknik supplies orange peel grapples as part of its excavator attachment range.
A hydraulic steel or rock grab is built to pick up heavy, dense material such as rock, boulders and steel sections. It is a better fit than a light grapple when the load is solid and heavy and you need a firm grip.
A rotating log grapple adds a rotation function so the operator can turn and position long items, such as timber, without repositioning the whole machine. It is useful in forestry, land clearing and any job that moves long, awkward loads.
A crusher bucket crushes concrete, rubble and rock at the point of work. It can reduce the amount of material you need to haul away and lets you reuse crushed output on site. It suits demolition, recycling and site-clearance jobs.
A pedestal boom carries a rock breaker on a fixed base so oversize rock can be broken at one position, for example at a crusher feed point, without a full excavator tied up on the job.

What is the difference between a grapple and a rock grab?
A grapple, such as an orange peel type, is designed for loose and irregular material. A rock grab is built for heavy, solid items such as rock and steel.
Can any attachment fit any excavator?
No. Size, weight, hydraulic flow and pressure, and the coupler arrangement must suit your machine. Share your excavator make and model so we can advise.
Do I need extra hydraulic lines for a grapple?
Many grapples and rotating attachments need an auxiliary hydraulic circuit on the excavator. Check what your machine already has before ordering.
